Teddy Terrific is a Hall of Famer!

Last week the National Pole Bending Association announced its plans to induct Teddy Terrific, owned by the Ford Family of Chillicothe, Ohio, into the association’s Hall of Fame.

The induction ceremonies will take place Friday, June 11 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., during the NPBA Championship show.

“I am so thrilled that this more formally gives him a “permanent place” in pole bending history,” said Jessie Ford, who runs Teddy throughout the year.

With 10 Congress championships and two reserve World championships, Teddy Terrific has made his mark in pole bending over the last 17 years with brothers Bryan and Marc and sister Jessie. At 20 years old, the gelding has also topped the barrel racing standings on more than won occasion, notably winning the Congress Amateur Barrel Racing in 2007 with Jessie aboard.

  1. right this very minute Carl Ford is here shoeing our horses. Teddy and the Ford family proves that a person does not have to be rich to own a great horse. They are a great family and I am so proud of all of them including of course Teddy.
