Ready, Set, NOMINATE!

Nominations are now open for the Best of the Best in Ohio Barrel Race. On the Road with Dawn and Clea and The Barrel Racing Blog are bringing you this never-before-in-Ohio race (with the help of some amazing sponsors) and we’re ready for you to tell us what top 1D teams you want in it! Here’s how nominations work:

1. The team (horse and rider) must currently reside and compete in Ohio.

2. The team has to have placed in the top 3 of the 1D in any Open Barrel Race (Sorry, Warm-Up, Youth or Peewee is not included this year.) for any show in the 2011 show season.

3. Any age is acceptable.

We will accept nomination this week only. On August 22, the invites will go out. Right now we are planning on sending 25 invites and taking the first 15 that come in for the race, HOWEVER if we gather more funds for the payout we will possibly add spots.

Who gets invited will be determined in part by the nominations as well as research on the top 3 1D riders in Ohio.

We want to send a special THANK YOU to those who are already helping to make this an awesome race by adding in raffle items to help raise money for United Cerebral Palsy. The Classy Cowgirl Couture Western Store has generously donated some HOT items for both the horse and the rider to be put into our raffles for the weekend.
